Nau mai ki Tarimano!
The name “Tarimano” is derived from Te Taringa ā Mano. The ancestral house Tawakeheimoa, is flanked by two wives: Te Aongahoro, and Te Aouru.
Located at Ngongotaha, Tarimano Marae serves as a gathering place for whānau, and hapu of Ngati Rangiwewehi. Tarimano is well-known for hosting many kaupapa including wananga, meetings, celebrations, and special events.. Manaaki remains at the heart of Tarimano, providing modern facilities, catering, laundry, and disposal options with flexibile arrangements to support hire needs where possible.
By booking our marae for your events, you not only help us maintain running costs, but also grow our ability to share our ancestoral pā with many.
