Ōwhata Marae is more than a place to stay — it is a place of connection, whakapapa, and belonging. Located at Hinemoa Point on the shores of Lake Rotorua-nui-a-Kahumatamomoe, our marae stands as a living expression of Ngāti Te Roro o te Rangi.

We uphold tikanga, manaaki, and whanaungatanga, ensuring the legacy of our tūpuna Tūtānekai and Hinemoa are respected by all who are welcomed onto our marae.

Once your booking dates are endorsed, we will email you the Hire Form to check if there are any other hire needs you require before submitting.

To secure your booking, a $500 refundable bond is required upfront. Bank details can be found on the Hire Form.

A final settlement invoice will be sent to you via email at least 3 weeks before your arrival date.
